Today I wanted to share with you a new company to me that I discovered at High Point Market this April, Noir. I have seen Noir’s showroom for the past several markets, and had never had the opportunity to stop by. But this market I had put them on my list and made time to visit. I’m so glad I did!

Noir was founded in 2004 by Georg Baehler and Stephanie Lu. Their products include accent furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, and art. Swiss born, Georg Baehler is a master craftsman and woodworker, and is the lead designer for all Noir products. His love for antiques are often the inspiration behind his designs.

Looking at the Noir collection, you will see antique furniture influences as well as a mix of contemporary. There is also a Swiss furniture influence in the style of their pieces, and I’d say the overall showroom had an industrial urban loft feel with a twist of classic traditional influence.

All Noir pieces are hand-finished and created with a concentrated effort toward environmental sustainability. And you know how I feel about environmental sustainability. We all have to do our part so future generations can enjoy our earth as much as we have.

New introduction, the Lips Sofa, is such a fun statement piece! It obviously makes people smile…see the lady in the background…look how happy she is! And she was literally smiling because of this sofa!
